Phuket’s Bangla Road really explodes into life after sunset. Once the road is closed from daytime traffic it transforms into a festival of neon lights, excessively loud music and cheap beer. While it gets crowded every night, it’s an experience to explore. You do need to wiggle your way around an army of street vendors, tailor shop salesmen and overly enthusiastic ping-pong show touts, but it’s well worth it. There’s dozens of great bars and clubs to choose from.
